Bright sun, wide sandy beach, deep blue sea, enchanting pine forest: these are all the ingredients which make the Ulisse Camping Village the ideal place for your holidays. But it is not only about nature: it is situated in the Archaeological Area of Paestum, the most beautiful and charming town of the Magna Grecia, famous all over the world for its magnificent Temples, a Unesco World Heritage Site, where there is the well-known Tomb of the Diver, a very beautiful and historical work of art. Moreover, The Narrative Museum Of Heraion at the mouth of the river Sele, the Getsemani Sanctuary, the Madonna of Granato Sanctuary, Capo di Fiume, Felitto, and the charming Gorges of the river Calore, Vatolla and its Vargas Palace.

Sightseeing tours

Located at the center of the Gulf of Salerno, The Ulisse Camping Village is a very good starting point to undertake enchanting tours through nature, culture, food and religion. Not very far from it there are: the Cilento and Diano Vallo National Park, or the archaeological site of Velia, or the Certosa of Padula, or the Pertrosa and Castelcivita Caves, just to mention some of them, or you can choose between going north to places such as the Isle of Capri, the Isle of Ischia, Salerno, The Amalfi Coast, Vietri on the Sea, Pompei, Naples or going south to places such as Agropoli, Santa Maria of Castellabate, Ogliastro, Acciaroli, Palinuro.

Places to visit

The Cilento and Diano Vallo National Park includes most of the southern territory in the Salerno area. It has a variety of landscapes ranging from the sea coast to the mountain, from rivers and streams, from meadows to forests. As a consequence of the different territories there is a variety of plant life (such as the Palinuro Cowslip, the rock Carnation, the Paestum sea Lily and the Paestum Rose, the Mediterranean brushwood and olive groves) as well as of fauna (such as the golden Eagle, the pilgrim Hawk, the Fox and the Wolf).

Local speciality food

Paestum is located in the middle of the Piana del Sele, the location of buffalo mozzarella cheese, a product which has the DOP quality brand (Certified Provenance brand EEC) and which is famous all over the world. If you spend your holidays at our Camping Village you can also visit one of the several cheese factories in the area and see how buffalo mozzarella cheese is produced.
Other local specialities are: Paestum artichokes, DOP extra-virgin olive oil, Podolic Caciocavallo cheese, Cacioricotta cheese, Dop wine, Cilento white figs, the Roccadaspide chestnuts, Cilento honey and much more.
